All web hosts support PHP, but many of these providers use older versions that can put your website or application at risk. If you want to build a site with a PHP-based CMS (content management system) like WordPress Hosting Services you need a host that is compatible with the latest PHP versions and offers the option to upgrade to the latest version when available.
The host should also offer the option to stay on an older PHP
Version to prepare for the migration. The latest PHP version can improve the security and performance of your website Hosting Services but the upgrade should be tested in a staging area first. If there are any incompatibilities in your code or plugins, the migration could break your site.
I researched and tested dozens of services to find the best PHP hosting providers. I tried to find hosts that support new PHP versions as soon as they are released philippines telegram data but I also prioritized performance, security, and support for PHP-based applications . These are the hosts that fit the criteria.
Are we short of time? Best PHP Hosting Services:
- Hostinger – Fast, PHP-optimized, reasonably priced.
- InterServer – Unlimited storage and bandwidth with FastCGI for PHP pages.
- A2 Hosting – WordPress installation with pre-configured plugins.
What We Looked For in the Best PHP Hosting Providers
I have included fast and reliable hosts in my list with these extra features:
- Multiple PHP versions. I looked for hosts that would allow you to choose your own PHP version for each website or application. I also made sure they could easily switch between different PHP versions.
- PHP updates. I’ve only included vendors that support the latest PHP versions shortly after they’re released. You can continue using older versions until you’re ready to switch.
- PHP-based applications. I chose hosts that support popular PHP-dependent CMSs like WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla. Some of the providers on my list offer automatic updates for these applications in addition to one-click installers.
- Extra features. Handlers like suPHP or FastCGI can help you better secure your website and improve its performance. Some hosts on my list include these tools pre-installed.
- Pricing. PHP is a free, open-source scripting language, so PHP hosting should be budget-friendly. There are no sneaky hosts on the list that charge extra for basic features like PHP updates.
Hostinger may be cheap, but it doesn’t compromise on PHP features
Hostinger is the cheapest PHP hosting provider on my list, but surprisingly, it is also the fastest host I have tested. The shared hosting platform supports the latest PHP versions (including 7.4, 8.0, and 8.1), and you can easily switch between versions using the panel.
Hostinger is also quite generous with its resources. Even with a single shared hosting plan, you get 30GB of storage plus 100GB of bandwidth. This is more than enough for any PHP-based website.
However, if you are a PHP developer, you may want to upgrade to the Premium plan, which is a bit more expensive but includes SSH access and unlimited MySQL databases.
Features
- PHP-optimized servers. Hostinger supports PHP and MySQL updates as soon as they become available. Its servers use LiteSpeed technology for improved performance and stability, and the HTTP/2 protocol allows for more simultaneous user requests by default.
- PHP caching plugin. LSCache is one of the best caching solutions for websites built with PHP-based CMSs like WordPress or Joomla. With Hostinger, LSCache is integrated into your control panel, so you can activate it in just a few clicks.
- User-friendly control panel. Hostinger’s hPanel is simpler and less complicated than cPanel. For example, you can quickly switch between different PHP versions by visiting the PHP Configuration menu in the Advanced Settings section. However, unlike cPanel, hPanel does not support Turkish.
- Access Manager. If you are working with a PHP developer to build your website or business, this feature allows you to grant access to only certain parts of your hosting account.

2. InterServer – Unlimited PHP Hosting with FastCGI
InterServer offers a single Standard shared hosting plan with unlimited storage, website, MySQL database and bandwidth. It supports PHP versions 5.5 and 5.6 as well as 7.0 and later. Various performance tools for PHP based sites are also included.
The cPanel control panel is pre-installed, so you can switch between PHP versions and change PHP settings via the simple interface. Another positive note is that cPanel can be displayed in multiple languages, including Turkish, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost in translation.
You might expect the Standard plan to be expensive, considering how many features it offers. But it’s not. While it’s not as cheap as Hostinger’s entry-level plan, it’s still more affordable than many of the other plans on my list. If you’re not ready to make a long-term commitment, InterServer’s low monthly fee is much cheaper than other providers’ monthly plans.
Features
- Support for hundreds of PHP scripts. InterServer’s one-click installer helps you quickly install PHP-based CMSs like WordPress, PHPFusion, phpBB, and more. It’s also easy to add galleries, contact forms, and other functionality to your website.
- PHP Selector. The cPanel version of InterServer comes with a PHP menu that makes it easy to choose your version and enable extensions. For example, you can easily enable OPcache to improve your website’s performance.
- FastCGI enabled. This protocol is one of the fastest ways to execute PHP scripts and can significantly increase the speed of your website. Most web hosts require you to upgrade to VPS to enable FastCGI. However, at InterServer it is included in the Standard shared hosting plan.
- LiteSpeed web server. LiteSpeed is probably the best web server software for PHP-based CMSs like WordPress. It is faster than traditional Apache and much more reliable during traffic spikes.

A2 Hosting is known for its fast loading speeds and reliable uptime. You can expect top-notch performance even on cheaper plans, and they support PHP versions up to 8.1.
The entry-level Startup plan comes with 100GB of storage for one site, as well as unmetered bandwidth . A2 Hosting is also pretty transparent about the CPU and RAM allocated on all of its shared plans. For example, the Startup plan comes with 1 CPU core and 0.7GB of RAM. This is more than enough to serve a small PHP-based website or portfolio.
A2 Hosting customer support could be improved. However, there is a knowledge base (in English) where you can find answers to many PHP-related questions. You can also reach out to their customer service representatives and speak to them in Turkish with the built-in translation tool. You will also get many user-friendly features, such as a drag-and-drop site builder, to help you get your site up and running.
Features
- A2 optimized applications. A2 Hosting’s one-click installer includes optimized versions of the most popular PHP-based CMSs. For example, the A2 optimized WordPress installation comes with custom WordPress settings and a variety of pre-configured plugins for improved performance and security.
- A2 Turbo servers. These advanced servers include various optimizations for PHP-based websites, such as the LiteSpeed web server and the LSCache plugin. The HTTP/3 protocol via QUIC can also be enabled for faster delivery of PHP-driven pages.
- Patchman security scanner. Designed for PHP applications like WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla, Patchman is a security tool that alerts you when your software is out of date. It also applies important patches shortly after they are released and lets you quarantine suspicious files.
- PHP 8.1 is enabled on the VPS. A2 Hosting is one of the very few web hosts that currently supports PHP 8.1. If you are a developer looking to try this version, you can choose one of A2’s cheap managed VPS plans.

FastComet – PHP Hosting for India, East Asia and Oceania
PHP optimizations only have so much impact. If you want your website or application to load as quickly as possible, you should choose a data center that is close to your target audience. You can benefit from FastComet’s impressive global network of 11 data centers.
FastComet has data centers not only in North America and Europe
but also in Mumbai, Tokyo, and Sydney. If your target audience is in one of the last three regions, FastComet is one of the few low-cost, reliable hosts that will help you reach them.
FastComet’s cheapest shared hosting plan comes with 15GB of storage and 30GB of bandwidth. These should be enough for small to medium-sized websites. PHP 5.6, 7.0, and later versions are supported. PHP 7.4 is enabled by default. It’s also easy to choose different versions for your website or application thanks to FastComet’s Version Switcher.
Features
- Automatic updates for PHP applications. Softaculous is primarily a one-click application installer, but you can also use it to set up automatic updates for popular PHP-based CMSs like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal. Softaculous is included in all FastComet plans.
- Apache mod_lsapi. This Apache module, included in the FastCloud premium plan, is a replacement module for various PHP tools such as suPHP and FastCGI. It is very easy to activate this module, which improves the performance and stability of your website.
- Additional caching layers. The FastCloud premium plan also includes Varnish, Memcached, OPcache, and APC (alternative PHP Cache). These tools make it easy to serve PHP-based content so your visitors can enjoy faster loading speeds.
- PHP technical support. Unlike other hosts, FastComet offers help with issues related to open source PHP applications like WordPress.

Automatic PHP updates | No |
Best feature | Multiple caching layers for PHP-based websites |
Starting price | € 1.61 |
5. GreenGeeks – Exceptional Customer Support for PHP Hosting
GreenGeeks’ shared hosting plans are quite affordable. They also come with unlimited storage and bandwidth, as well as great technical support. PHP versions 5.2 – 8.0 are all available, with the latest version enabled by default.
If you want comprehensive help while developing your PHP based website, GreenGeeks should be at the top of your list. When I asked a support representative to help me optimize my WordPress website, they implemented several improvements for me. Usually, support representatives send me a link to an article that provides information on the subject. However, GreenGeeks representatives really do go above and beyond. You should know that customer support is not available in Turkish, only in English.
Another major plus of GreenGeeks is that automatic updates and backups for PHP-based CMSs are included in all plans. You don’t have to worry about running old software and if something goes wrong you can always restore a previous version of your website.
Features:
- HTTP/3 with QUIC. This latest protocol is designed to serve PHP pages significantly faster than HTTP/2 with TCP. HTTP/3 is automatically enabled at GreenGeeks.
- MariaDB. A faster alternative to MySQL databases, MariaDB is equally compatible with PHP and is fully supported on GreenGeeks’ platform.
- Cloudflare CDN. Enabling Cloudflare can significantly improve your website’s performance for visitors from around the world. While the CDN doesn’t always cache PHP files, it can now be configured to do so in the Rules app under Page Rules.
- Free SSH and SFTP access. Developers can securely upload PHP code to the server via SFTP. SSH access is free even on the cheapest shared hosting plan.

6. SiteGround – Easy PHP Hosting with Powerful Control Panel
The biggest advantage of SiteGround is its proprietary control panel, Site Tools, which makes it easy to manage your websites, PHP versions, and software. You can also create subdomains, FPT accounts, and enable caching and CDN. If you’re looking for a slick control panel that makes web hosting as easy as possible, you’ve found it. However, keep in mind that Site Tools is not yet available in Turkish (as of now, it can only be viewed in English, Italian, Spanish, and German).
SiteGround’s cheapest plan is available for just € 2.68 per month and you get 10GB of storage and unmetered traffic. PHP 5.6 and later are supported. You can enable static caching, dynamic caching, and Memcached via SiteGround’s SuperCacher feature to improve your site’s performance.
However, to take advantage of SiteGround’s PHP optimization, you’ll need to upgrade to the GrowBig or GoGeek plans, which are more expensive than most of the other options on this list.
Features
- Optimized for PHP. SiteGround uses NGINX as a reverse proxy and can speed up the delivery of PHP-based websites. Additional PHP optimizations are also available for all plans, including Memcached and OPcache.
- Automatic PHP updates. SiteGround will update PHP regularly unless you specifically choose an older version. Since the migration is managed, the tech team will first make sure the new version doesn’t break your site. SiteGround’s current managed PHP version is 7.4.27.
- Managed WordPress features. All of SiteGround’s shared hosting plans include automatic WordPress core and plugin updates, as well as a handy getting started wizard, expert WordPress support, and more.
- Ultrafast PHP. Available on GrowBig, GoGeek, and cloud hosting plans, Ultrafast PHP is a special server configuration designed to speed up WordPress websites by up to 30%. This configuration is especially useful for high-traffic websites.

Starting price | € 2.68 |
7. InMotion Hosting – Reasonable PHP Hosting for US Sites
InMotion Hosting has data centers on both US coasts, making it great for serving US audiences. Their entry-level shared hosting plan is very reasonably priced and comes with two websites, 50GB of storage, unmetered bandwidth, and all the latest PHP versions are supported, with PHP 7.4 enabled by default.
InMotion Hosting is similar to InterServer in many ways. For example, they are both US-based and offer cPanel to help you manage your websites and PHP versions. However, InMotion is much more expensive, especially after renewal fees kick in.
One advantage InMotion has over InterServer is customer support. While responses can be a bit slow, the representatives are knowledgeable and helpful. This is not the case with InterServer.
Features
- PHP-FPM enabled. As one of the most advanced PHP script processors, PHP-FPM can handle more traffic while using less server resources. You can expect faster loading speeds and a more reliable service.
- NGINX reverse proxy. InMotion Hosting uses Apache web server with NGINX as a reverse proxy. This adds an extra layer of security and helps your PHP-based website handle more simultaneous requests.
- Brotli compression. This algorithm compresses your HTML, CSS and Javascript files, reducing the time it takes for the server to deliver them. Brotli offers better compression ratios than Gzip.
- Excellent PHP documentation. InMotion has a comprehensive knowledge base with many guides and tutorials on PHP. Here you will find everything you need to tweak or optimize your PHP settings, even if you are a beginner.
Supported PHP versions | 5.4 to 8.0 |
Automatic PHP updates | No |
Best feature | PHP-FPM enabled |

These are the best PHP hosting providers, but which one is right for you?
There’s no “one size fits all” when it comes to PHP hosting expertise: die wichtigste grundlage so you’ll need to decide for yourself which features are most important to you. Every web host on my list offers PHP 8.0 or PHP 8.1, as well as a few earlier versions, but there are some key differences.
For example, if you are looking for a cheap PHP hosting provider that offers great performance,Hostinger is your best option . Their servers are optimized for PHP-based websites and you can take advantage of LSCache to get the best site loading speeds.
Alternatively, by paying a little more
You can get InterServer’s Standard shared hosting plan . This plan comes with unlimited resources and FastCGI enabled. InterServer is your cheapest option if you are looking for monthly subscription flexibility.
If you want quality customer serviceYou might want to consider GreenGeeks . A good plus is that it uses HTTP/3 over QUIC by default by lists which guarantees fast upload speeds.
For those whose audience is mainly in India, Asia or OceaniaFastComet should be at the top of the list . FastCloud premium plan is quite expensive but offers impressive caching solutions for PHP-intensive websites and applications.
